What's new
mapworkspace is built under the premises of a continuously evolving environment. Therefore, new features and functionalities will be added to the service on a regular basis. These updates will generally be minor in nature, but from time to time, we will push a major release that will significantly enhance user experience.

Every registered user will be informed of upcoming enhancements and will automatically benefit from them as soon as they are online. We also encourage our users to request new functionalities or simply provide feedback on existing ones by emailing us at feedback@mapworkspace.com. We will carefully consider every proposal and select the most relevant ones to integrate in subsequent releases.

Easy map updates

A new update functionality now allows you to maintain your maps more easily. This functionality will let you bring your mapworkspace maps up to date with your most recent MapInfo modifications, while retaining all of your display and sharing configurations. A most valuable time saving feature!

Links to Google Maps and Earth

You can now benefit further more from Google technology as a complement to your mapworkspace project. A simple right-click in any of your maps will take you directly to Google Maps or Earth, either placing a push-pin in Google Maps or adding a placemark to your Google Earth temporary places to locate your mapworkspace location.

Enhanced translucency control

Authors can now set their map translucency to a specific percentage while a map embedded slider bar gives the end user complete control over the display of his map during consultation.

This translucency feature is available to enhance your data overlaying a Google base map.

Enhanced navigation

Navigation is now made easier! Double-clicking now allows you to zoom in on a specific location.

Recent updates included:

Search tool

mapworkspace now integrates a powerful tool for searching through map data. Allowing to search for an exact or approximate value, the tool will find and recenter the map according to the chosen result. The map’s owner has all the flexibility to specify the tables and columns on which searches can be performed.

Integration within Google Maps

After giving you access to the Google base maps within mapworkspace, we now offer you the opposite. Indeed, it is now possible to integrate your mapworkspace map within the Google Maps navigator. You can thus beneficiate from both data sources while taking advantage all of the Google API’s capabilities. Moreover, using mapworkspace to load your map layers onto Google Maps will greatly reduce the time and effort required to integrate your data.

Google base map integration

Add inestimable value to your corporate data by setting them against user-friendly Google street, satellite or terrain base map. Take full advantage of the Google Maps quality to provide your users with complete information in a familiar environment. The integration is a matter of a few clicks.

New ! An option now allows you to apply translucency directly in mapworkspace if you were not able to do it in MapInfo Professional beforehand.

Translucent vector display

Take full advantage of MapInfo Professional new translucent vector and label display to enhance your data visualization and improve analysis capabilities.
